FOOTBALL

Do you know what is next week?  THE SUPER BOWL!  I would be excited but the packers is in the game instead of the bears.  I know, I’m bitter but I did not see that coming.  The great thing about the Super bowl is the food.  I get to pig out on a bunch of junk food.  For the Packers and Bears game I made a bunch of food and we just vegged out in front of the TV and eating.

I meant to post this yesterday but I had to write a paper.  I need to remember not to procrastinate anymore.
My Menu consist of
Baby Back Ribs with my Special Rub (it is special because I can’t exactly remember what is in the rub)
Ingredients that I remember
Rub
Brown Sugar (The measurement is 5 parts to 1 part of the rest of the ingredients if this make sense)
*These are all the same amount
Salt
Pepper
Cayenne Pepper
Paprika
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder

Baby Back Ribs
Molasses
Directions
  1. Take the Rub and cover it all over the ribs
  2. Let it sit for 20 minutes at least.
  3. Pre heat the oven to 300 degrees
  4. Slowly drizzle molasses over the ribs
  5. Place on a covered baking sheet and cook for 2+ hours or until it is soft.
  6. Let it rest when you take it out of the oven and serve at room temp.

Pizza Bread
Pizza Dough (homemade or store bought)
Spaghetti Sauce
Cheese of your choice (I did a pizza blend with some fresh mozzarella)
Directions
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a 9x13 baking sheet
  3. Cover the pizza dough with the spaghetti sauce
  4. Cover with cheese
  5. Bake for 20 minutes until the dough is fully cooked

Nachos
I just covered with cheese and cooked ground beef and place in the oven to melt the cheese

I may make chicken wings for the day of the Super bowl if we actually have the effort to watch the game.  We are on the fence.

  1. Hi Joy! I just got back from the philippines last week and I brought back a tub of ube jam from a church in Tagaytay with me. Do you have a good recipe for a good sweet bread so I can make some pan de ube? :) I would surely appreciate it!
