MIA

I know I have been “missing in action” for the last couple of weeks.  There is a good reason for this.  I would like to introduce you to The Son.

He always has a frown on this face.
I got lucky and I didn’t go into labor at work like I thought I would.  The Son was born on May 30th at 2:18.  It is good I didn’t have anything planned for Memorial Day.  I was thinking of smoking a brisket, that was out of the question.  Instead I was in a hospital room trying not to choke The Husband from the pain.  My doctor even believed I would give birth that weekend but I didn’t believe her.  It looks like I was wrong.
We are blessed with a wonderful family.  The Mother came into town the previous Thursday and I have her until the end of the month.  She has a savior for us.  The Daughter adores her and she has been able to give the attention to The Daughter she needed for the transition.  I believe I will never sleep again but it is all worth it.  I’m at home for about 3 months and I plan on getting to all the things I have been dying to get done.  Hopefully I will be able to post most often more.  Especially since I’m about to finish up my degree.  I am also excited because I could eat what I want to eat (within reason) without getting sick.  I plan on experimenting a lot while I’m at home.  Here are some pictures of siblings.

  1. Warm congratulations to you and your husband, Joy. Your son looks absolutely beautiful. So does your daughter. I have a daughter and a son, too, born 2 yrs. and 9 months apart. They are both in their teens now. I miss the time when they were this little. I hope you get some rest while your mother is there. All the best wishes to your family...Adora

  3. Congrats on your beautiful son! I just love the picture of him and his big sister. I remember those days so well. I'm sure you are exhausted and need lots of rest and tlc. Hopefully it's just a frown and he will be an easy going baby.
    Hugs,
    Gina
